For a while now i have wanted (no) needed to get some different stories of my life out as i think it would make a fair book. The over arching theme is how shitty my live was before Dungeons and Dragons and how playing D&D turned my live around and kept me from going on a murderous rampage ending only by suicide by cop. Anyway here is the first installment it is not real long 16-17sh mins.

So i was hanging out in game today mindlessly grinding slayer kills before having to go get the boy from school and i see the following:

“4 chests in Zawabi’s Revenge EH?” – Player X
“Maybe I should take screen shot for forums – how do I take screen shot” – Player X

Where i was in a funny mood and replied Alt+f4…

Well long story short this guy did it. /faceplam

He did say he dualboxed it so worse case he had to log back in. Then i get the following:

“reported by the way – and sending to producers twitter also”
“ty for making lose chests”
“samium garumbo”

Where i fixed his spelling for him, it is Samius Gurobo afterall.

I am not going to get in lolz tells or anything like that but you know what if you can’t take a joke then you can go. Okay i lied i did get one that made me laugh.

Kazuaru tells you, ‘what a tool… is there ANYONE who has ever used a computer before that doesnt know alt f4 is the windows shutdown command?’

Kazuaru tells you, ‘i mean, obviously there was one just a few minutes ago 😀 but now there shouldnt be any more.’

You tell Kazuaru, ‘i didnt think so. I replied last i checked commonsense was fairly uncommon’

The Sad Bard?

So the thing on Sarlona is that PDKs are sad kids…. at least the male PDKS…. My plan is to make my bard very bangable. What lady Horcs are very fit. 🙂 Hmmm Smexy.

Okay i digress.

I have been looking at the epic past life feats (I will admit that I hadn’t taken a hard look at them) and i have to say some of them are fairly tight. Skill Mastery stands out to me, if you want to cross class trapper you often need all the help you can get. Colors of the Queen seems good and one on the guildies is really enjoying it. But right now i just can’t decide if it is worth the points for me at the moment. Because if i am reading this right you need the epic heart to go from 28 to 0 then there is some Karma loss but the wiki doesn’t say how much. So i am not sure.

What are the requirements? IDK… Right now my melee sphere is like 4/4/3 i think and that is only because i wanted to twist in cocoon and renewal while leveling to 28. Speaking of i have a lesser epic xp tome rarely used xp pots and went from 21 to 28 mostly doing eE quests with some eHards and i have been 28 for a week now and i have less then 2500 of those new com thingies (taking them over all other loot 99.9999% of the time). Don’t you need like 4200? And wasn’t that number chosen by people doing eHards to the cap? Me thinks someones maths were bad. I get wanting to get people to buy them from the store but or to grind them out after they hit 28 but come on. Tobril right now is just planing to be able to use the in game turn-in like every third epic tr. That seems crazy.

I don’t know. Unless feed back rolls in that i just must do the epic TR i think i will just heroic in to my PDK build. Speaking of if you are on Salrona and have a +1 heart for trade let me know. Sure Grim i know you said you would take a look but might as well cast a large net you know. I could also use my +20 heart but i think i would like to save it just incase i really fuck something up.

I really don’t know why but every time Tobril and I do one of these training runs (Mostly the Abbot) this scene pops into my head. Maybe because we take a a lot of newbs and shape them into a bunch of killers!

Btw not only did we record it but we live streamed it over at http://www.twitch.tv/samiusgurobo/ . Yep you could have seen what i saw and wondered how and the hell could i cast the wrong spells so many times in a row…

My Undead Monster?

This is my current take on the Melee Wizard. Right now most of my gear is laughable, this is another guy that got to 20/22 and just stopped getting played much. I knocked out his third life as a rogue/figher to make soloing to cap fast and easy and for the most part it was.

How much of this do i really need to explain? 17 wiz is for Power Werd Killz, if you can live with out it then you might only need between 12 and 15 wizard levels. For me i want Otto’s and Power Werd Stun so 15 is my personal minimum for a melee caster.

Main defenses are miss chances, Wrath form, Blur/Displacement and Hps. I think i can work in a 30 -40 PRR with the right items and what not and i want to max out my dodge. Think right now it is like 8% with only feats to add to dodge.  It is also worth saying i took all the ways to get Radiant Forcefield effect. I didn’t love the idea of a triggered cast based on my live total but then i tried it and i dig it. Sure it cuts down on incoming damage so you can heal up but it is also a HUGE VISUAL CLUE! And that is huge when you are playing a super busy character, it is easy to lose track of your HPs in the thick of things.

Things that might be confusing. That one point in Int on the EKnight tree, that was an messup. I was trying to spend the 30 points for the top tear when i realized that i just didn’t have the points for it and the dwarf/Pm lines i wanted, went to hit cancel and hit Cool Cool instead…. I was too cheep at that moment to bother fixing it. I will clean it up later.  Why didn’t i nab that last level in the dragon mark? Think i will when i fix that Int point, but really the thing i thought was most important in the dwarf tree was Con to damage then the forcefield after that i wanted to get into the Class PREs and i just didn’t have extra points to take the ranged grapnel.  Lastly i really like how just those few points really sang in the Assassin tree. That is a lot of dps for not a lot of points, a really great return.

Well i hope to get some time on this character soon. But i feel that he will always feel behind until i gear him out really well and i am not sure how motivated  i am to do that right now.

Merry Thanksgiving

This post has nothing to do with Thanksgiving, but i wanted to put it out on front street.

Yesterday for lunch the wife and i headed to Sonic, she wanted corndogs and i have been craving chili dogs for months. Get there before the lunch rush. We are trained to eat at 11:30 or so. Anyway place our order, the girl reads it back to us and everything sounds right to the TWO of us. That bit is important because when we get our food we notice a missing drink right away. After a moment talking to the bellhop our 3rd drink arrives and we head home to eat.

Getting home we divide to order and realize the entire issues has to due with the fact that she didn’t ENTER my chili dog combo. Aka my food is missing. Grumble. Double check the ticket and yep it is just missing. Funny how she read the order back to me at the car right also…. No big i can just make something real fast.

Jump to about 4 am this morning.

By the way i explained the above so i could tell this.

I have a dream where i design a way for tablets and smart phones can be used for drive ins and drive throughs. Basically using your smart device you visit the restaurant’s web page and start an order either as a guest or better yet set up an account. At each menu thingy (where people enter the orders) you have an number generator. You need a number generator to help prevent order spoofing, in addition to that you also need to set the generator up with a motion detector to “activate” the number you also need that number to identify your location. At the drive through menu you just tell the order taker that you are blasting (or what ever marketing buzz word is hot right then) enter your number the cashier reads back your order prompts you for the up sale and finalizes the order. At a place like Sonic, you wouldn’t even need to talk to anyone until they delivered the food.

I know right now some places are adding touch screens at drive throughs but that seems like pushing the problems not fixing them. Also the nice thing about this idea could be special “apps” for each restaurant chain. I know that is not a good thing on the end user side but from a marketing side that is sweet. Free ad on everyone’s phone/tablet that orders via blast…
