Helfs are Failures

How is it possible that the master race could be ruled out of so many of my future build plans due to a simple over looked feature? Simple, they lack the master beard as an option. Boom! Dead to me.

I went home ill at lunchish yesterday, Think I might have pushed cooking something a hair further then I should have. All I can say is sometimes it sucks not being able to smell and I cooked it really well and it tasted good? Long story short after a trip or two to the restroom, I was to wiped to return to work and I feared a return restroom visit, so I jumped on to ddo and looked for low stress options. I knocked out a GH explored loop and then I decided to go ahead and TR McGoggles.

Yes, I don’t have a real detailed build plan. But for what I am doing I really don’t care. It is something for me to fiddle with in my spare time. He is a second lifer so I am not worried about XP and as he hasn’t been played in months before TRing he won’t be missed in epics.

I hit the rez button and fill in his name; lets do this thing! I start as a Helf Ranger. Stats look good, Skills look better then I thought. Get to look and it hits me, McGoggle has that boss “Wendell Beard”, but that is not an option for Helfs…

Let me side bar, Wendell is a guy I know from the local DnD/Card scene. He is the Hollywood nerd. Always dirty, stinky (as I understand it) and always knows just enough about any topic to comment but then be completely and totally wrong. But for years he had this amazing beard that shot out in all directions. So when I see that ddo beard option I think “Wendell Beard” though technically think it is called the Winnfield. Want to know a little secret? There are 2 beards I wish I could have in RL, the Winnfield and the massive biker beard. You know the goatee that goes to your belly button and you braid into huge braids. You know like how Clankenbeard draws me. ☺

Realizing this over sight I back out and start over as a human as to get the proper beard. Yes I know that it will effect the over all power of my build a LOT. No AA for me on the back of Helf. But come on, some alts just need the right look. Now I need to buy some funky color hair dye; last life McGoogles rocked a bright blue, maybe this life that Acid Green out of the store?

Samiusbot, A Lesson in TRing

Tuesdays are “my” days to piss off, well now that Tobril is doing his get his life in order thing anyway. Ideally this time would go to the wife’s projects that she feels are neglected. Like farming challenges for mats or leveling up really off alts for the hell of it. But some how I spent the night at negative hps or dead a lot…

Rolling back the start of the night, I log on and Dis asks if I could help on an Abbot run. After some careful food negations with the wife I can help. There were some deaths on my part. Some planed others just failed a saving throw really bad. There was even a right/left moment where I almost entered the wrong door but I caught myself and managed. But we won, just as dinner arrives and in the end and all was well. My bard is up to 12 completions; a sweet 20 is in sight…

While eating the wife and I talk about projects and whatnot. But she doesn’t have anything in mind so I start getting a personal project ready. Samiusbot. I realty like my off account arty and the arty life I did on Samius. Even if that life had a few issues, like not enough self-healing early on, being a fleshly/melee/caster hybrid build. So I have been excited to get a full love arty on my main account just to feel like I have all the main classes covered. As I am gathering some basic loot I notice that Tobril has logged on AND has TRed his FvS…. WTF?

Doing some catching up he has training for work all week so his brain is to full for more personal study this week so he is free to game and he is already level 2. Woot! I pull a heart out of the bank, grab as much of the shared bank/hording loot I can out of the bank and TR. Into an Arty with out really taking the time for a plan or proper gear. 😉

So level 1, skipping the snow, I run to the bank and I have a haggle 10 hat, a set of +5 tools and a ring of feathers. NP! Boat up thinking that Korthos is cake.

We start with the get the scroll quest. Tobril zerging like his barb/fighter fully geared for level 2 guy can do (80ish hp) vs my 39 hp arty with starter gear can not. But we complete and I start to run out of the quest take a crit realize I am at like 10 hp, hit my repair light spell, get hit again and fail to save the spell (4ish hp), run cast fail to save it again fail to neg 1. Tobril runs over to save me from the rat that has eaten my ass off convincing it to attack me one last time, crits and I die… First quest out of the gate, if I was a permy I would be rerolling after the first quest. We have a good laugh at my expense.

But as I didn’t bind yet, I am right there. Everything goes well enough until the bar quest were I once again fall to neg 1, but this time Tobril gets the agro from mobs and I recover.

This where Tobril asks about my gear… I explain that I had just started to prep for a TR and that I had nothing at all ready to go but as he was off I wanted to tag along. How big of a deal is levels 1-4 anyway?

I fall incap twice more last night, and die two other times in traps. In my defense I thought 30 resistances would cover the lighting traps in the lighthouse quest, I was wrong. And I think some lag killed me in the missing pack as I shot across the spike traps and was around the corner before my death triggered and my stone was about were I was standing so very far away from the trap. But Tobril with his invis clicklies and fast movement had already finished the quest.

Sooner or later I took level 2, moved from the fire touch started repeater to a BtA holy heavy repeater I had planed to icy burst. Asked the wife for a kit and got one, took a min to get 3 or 4 rune arms and stopped by the pot vender for some Repair pots. And things smoothed out. So some gear helps after all, oay pots were the main thing…. Healing for 20 vs 5…

After an hour or two of play I had taken level 3 put on a fair docent and life was good again.

So the moral of the story, take a min before TRing or starting a new alt and get some pots and some basic gear ready. But the most important think you can take from this story is DON’T THINK YOUR SHITTY 2ND LIFE GUY IS AS GOOD AS YOUR COMPLETIONEST/MILLON LIFE GUY. I might have gotten a little lazy having done a millon TRs on Samius both for gear and just static HPS.

What is YOUR Favorite “Thing”?

As most of you know, I have been xping/TRing Samius for a long time. Now that I have gotten my completionest feat I am doing a “final” life to get back into the end game some. Those of you that know that also should know that I have leveled as a few different races but according to DDo I am a dwarf and not a very fat Halfling as I intended.

I noticed right away at level 2 when I went to grab one of the items I picked up a while back for low level guys a (icy burst) holy-pure good falcon race required Halfling level 2. Not a deal breaker as I have my BTA (icy burst) holy great axe also at level 2. But I was a little sad that I wasn’t going to be able to use said item…

A few more levels go by and we are level 8. I got just the toy for a wiz/rog who is really just making himself feel better when “helping” when it comes to melee dps; a level 8 (icy burst) paralyzing long sword, again RR Halfling…. This time the umd needed to use it is closer to my standing umd score (at the time of 16) of 18 so with a heroism buff I could use it… I did run two clickies at the time, so it sat in my pack most of the time. Think I used it once… Damn undead quests once I get my extra cool toy out…

At 9, I was able to take completionest (huge skill boost) plus the seven finger gloves even more to umd and plainer girds on line want to say my umd is around 28 want to say I can boot into the 30s fairly easily. I would have to look to be 100% that is true, but my UMD right now is good enough to allow me to use just about anything I want. For the most part it is all about the gloves.

I remember when I first pulled them. Think I did a segment on DDocast about that day. I won them in a roll and I was so pleased I took my headset off to share the good news with my wife while a dickhead scolded me over voice chat because “HE NEEDED THE LOOT MORE THEN I DID.” I got a few tells from party members asking if I was going to let him talk to me like that? When I finally noticed what was going on and checked in on the raid I was surprised that someone tried to begrudge me of my loot. And then he tried to do so again now that I was around for my lecture. He is still the only person on my guild’s banned list, Doppleblock. Don’t even know if he plays any more but he will never play with me again that is for sure.

So I guess I am saying even though I have “better” loot at higher levels these simple level 9 gloves are my favorite item in the game and a quick count of my past lives I am wearing them when I TR 6 times. 4 or 5 other times I am wearing Vile Blasphemy which is like the 7F gloves cousin.

So now you know my favorite DDO “Thing”, what’s yours?

Sam is Ready to Burn, Again

Not the first thing I did when I got home. Now that I think about it, it wasn’t even in the top 5 things, but one of the first things I did once I got home was get Samius all ready to TR. Guess I decided I was going to TR him again next. Maybe the desire to finally cross off completionest from my list has gotten to me. But taking a look back at my other posts I think I had decided a long time ago that I was ready to take a break TRing Sam and get into the end game for a while.

So Java’s TR will have to wait. I still have a few levels to get on Darth Samius before I can TR a Non-Samius alt. Sam doesn’t have to follow the rules like everyone else does.

Build… I have talked about that in the past plenty but a lot of that was maybes or I might tries but I think I will do a 18/2 wiz/rog AM build thinking Evocation.

Note to Self: I need to remember to confirm that the Sorc past life feat will work to meet the prereqs for Archmage.

If you remember from a few posts back I was thinking about going Dwarf for their sweet beards and I had two possible stat lists I think I will do the one with the higher Chr of the two.

Rough Gear thoughts: My 7 finger gloves are ready to rock, so a I am good to strap the armor back on. Hell I might get a little PRR even. I have been siting on a set of blue dragon scales. Also I checked last night and I have 2 full tome page sets now so a skiver might happen at 14 as well.

Well I assume I will have something to feel content with on Monday, A phone call with Tobril earlier today pointed to a TR happening tonight. Wish me fast xps.

Jerry Spawned

Today i have a little more time to post i think so i am going to try and talk about something Jerry brought up a few days plus back. If you take out my (your) personal likes/dislikes what builds would really make the most of completionest, from the point of view of past lives and the completionest feat.

I dont think that is what he knew he was asking, but that is how i took his comment.

Just today i am just going to look at classes and not really mixes too much.

Artificer, I think this one class might be the single best class for a completionest. There really use every stat to some degree, the only real completionest perk that i can think of that an Arty doesn’t really use would be the spell pen. They might not need the bonus to combat DCs but everyone CAN try and trip sometimes.

Barb, This is a case of making the key needs of the barb sing just a little more. Bigger Str, more HP, bonuses to combat DCs if they go that way. But they leave a lot on the table. Although the completion feat could make using silver flame pots easier….

Bard, would be in my top 3 or 4 classes to take real advantge of the completionest feat. The less focus that you have the greater effect of running threw the lives.

Clr, would be my second best class for post completionest. The boosts really make a huge difference for those that want to stradle both caster and melee roles. And the best class after arty that can do this is Clr.

Druid, I think everyone needs to take the time to level a few druids. Or at least try playing with a “melee” and a “caster” verson. I think that a hybrid build is very do-able and the free perks from having a ton of lifes really help. Remember i played Samius’ Druid life as a hybrid model and i am super impressed, to the point that real soon Java is TRing into one.

FvS, One could make a hybrid model, but really the class doesn’t NEED a lot of help.

Fighter, see barb.

Monk, would be on the short list for post completionest love, again due to the long list of good that the free feats allow. But again there are a lot of the past life feats that are pointless. But the monk is one of the classes that really put the completionest stat bonuses to work in ways other then a skill point or a +1 str +1 con.

Pally, See monk but even more so. The extra stats are huge. Same with the skill bonus. Unlike the major melee classes they can put some of the caster past life feats to work. Not all but more then any “core” melee classs so far.

Ranger, see Pally and monk and put ranger in the middle of the two. Less then pally but more then the monk. The stat boost is not as helpful but alot of the past life free feats are helpful.

Rogue, This one is hard. At cap i think it is right with the other melees (again yes rogue is a melee class) but while leveling they make the completionest feat is very strong helping to get to watermarks sooner.

Sorc, See FvS but less people have melee as a sub focus so all the melee related perks are more of a waist then for fvs. But it can help with DCs and we all know that arcaine builds are all about the big DCs.

Wizard, see all of the above. Unless you have a melee sub focus lots of work is going unloved, but even more so then sorcs, beacuse DC often wins over everything. The difference between 50 and 51 on wail/finger DCs can be huge.

So now that i have all that i will say, if you have a guy that is close to completionest but not a final build at least when looking at playing a single class think about making the best multitool you can.

PMs Rule! AMs Drool! Or Do They?

I have been a fan of the PM longer then I think most people know. I was on the PM bandwagon from day one. Before live even, lets say Lam day one. You can go back and check the tapes, but I back on DDocast I described Lich form (back when it was a clicky) as god-mode.

But back when epics were a hold-fest I took on of my wizards and reset him to be an Enchantment AM and it was fun. Not the most amazing build I ever had but fun. Then we had the change to Mass hold monster vs SR and later the change to allow removal spells in epics and I no longer have an AMs.

But I think that might be wrong, at least during the heroic levels. Or I should say pre Lich form….

My break down of PMs:
Undead Forms, are really just a way of saying I will take care of myself until Lich form when being undead becomes more then a self healing perk. Sure each one has an upside and a down side beyond use Sp to get HP. But you don’t see many level 20+s running around in Vamp or Zombie form do you? Before I leave forms I want to rank them from best to worse real fast. Lich, wrath (almost a tie with Lich), zombie, vamp. Some of you might have seen that coming, but others maybe not. But wrath form is really under loved atm, if you have the feats and the points take them both and think about what form would be best for a given quest. I will bet a lot of the time 2 less dcs will be over powered by 25% incorp and +20 to move silently and balance, if your looking at shorting the time in quest. Also getting wrath at 12 vs 18 is huge bonus.

Pets, they have a time and place. But I have a hard time finding points to spend on them. However, the thrill of summing a normal skeleton in a quest with mob skeletons and watching your party members try to kill it is amazingly fun times. Otherwise they are mostly for times when you can perch them and have them range things with out getting hurt while you afk.

Necro Stuff, to me other then the self-healing in form the best part of the PM is Nerco attacks. I use them more then any other attack spell. They are like 4-6 on my quick bar and often I just cycle them when I am in damage mode. More then once I have had to leave form so I could be fleshly healed by a party member while I cleared the room with these attacks.

AMs on the other hand have the ability to be extremely flexible as there is not a clear set path you have to take. You can just run up the line netting you more Sp at each AM tear.

Quick aside: Speaking of those tears there are 5 tears of AMs (every 3 lvls after 6) vs 3 for the other PRE. Mening that you get those tears much faster with splashes then the other PREs. Example, with the PM if I do 18/2 at level 18 (16/2) I still only have PM 2 but with AM I could have 4 tears of the PRE.

Arcane Booms, The AM only gets 2 low costs spam attacks Blot/Blast. They use sp vs hp for their cost but with out the aura doing the constant healing you wouldn’t want to be burning hps anyway. I think the Pms might have it a little better in the cheap spam attack department but I think the AMs being force damage are good too. Hell some PRE’s have run on water as a tear 2 power, force blots are a huge step up.

The Meat of the AM PRE, spell like abilities. Some Schools are better then others at different levels. But over all I think they are mostly good but not worth going too deep into. Do you really need a Pk or a DD SLA at level 15? Not really. That said some of the schools really have some good ones depending on play style.

What am I going to do? Think I am going to try leveling up as an AM. Last time I leveled up a PM I skipped to 16 and while I found 1-9 to be fairly easy as normal. Trying to use the forms just as the mobs really started in on the light damaging spells in a 3-4 party group keeping an elite streak running to be crazy. Opps here is 400+ points of light damage, Splat!

Will I switch back to PM post lich form? Most likely. Also I think I will do evocation focus while leveling with a plan to play a little more aggressive. But keep in mind I have all the toys and all the perks of completionest so I can handle my healing with out having to use my SP.

If this was my first arcane/wizard I would say be a PM. But I would warn you that you don’t always want to be form.

In any case I am sure I will talk about how things are playing as we relevel and into the post 20 endgame, so things might change or not but either way I will let you know.

Some Follow Up Anwers

I posted a projected build for myself this morning of a 18/2 wiz/rog mostlikely as a Pale Master. This spawned a few comments and questions. So let me see if I can hash a few of them out for you all.

The most common two are: Why is Heighten so late (lvl 17)? Why no Spell Pen feats? Lets look at the Heighten question first.

At level 17 when I will take Heighten that will be my 15th wizard level. Which means before then 7th level was my max level spell any way. Aka Finger of Death is as good as it can get and Circle of Death is only 1 behind it. Making my DCs on removal spells almost or just as good as someone that took Heighten sooner.

Spell Pen: You have to know from reading my stuff for a while to know that I have the max number (for past life gains+) of Wizard lives done already. And as a completionest I have already done a FvS life, so I am +7 over a first lifer already. So I am sure that will get me to 20 with just a few enchantments and an item. If I get to epics and have trouble I can swap out the sorc past life and side in the spell pen feat taking the rest post 20. But I don’t think they will be needed. Tobril was telling me just the other day how a 2nd lifer was getting no fail Spell Pen on eE quests with all the feats and a few twists. I am hoping the extra 5 spell pen I have from past lives will do the work of all those feats and some of the epic twists. If not I can do a few mow FvS lives.

Also real fast something I might have said or should have said is this build is mostly to level with. I don’t know if I will stay 18/2 post level 20 or not. But this is a fairly well rounded build for the first 20 levels.

Lets see some other comments….

On Barb Past life: The sooner you take the Barb past life feat the stronger it is in the over all life of a build. 20 hps and a rage is very strong at level 3. Just looking at the planer level 3 I would have around 60 hp with out items, taking the feat is a third more. Be at -11 to -19 a few times and tell me how you feel about having 20 more hp? Barb past live vs toughness: 20 hp now vs 3+1 per level until level 17 the past life is just plan better and having the clickly is an often over looked perk. Be one point short of pulling a lever and know that if you had this you would have gotten it done.

No Extend?: With the changes to extend I don’t take it on new casters. I just don’t. Why do I need it? Haste and Rage were talked about in one comment, But I offen don’t cast them on my casters, unless I am killing mobs via melee or something.

Empower: This is my spell booster for the low levels. Sometimes I just want to cast a spell once and be done. This is how I help make this happen. Its costs are low enough that paying for it is affordable at low levels, I used to use Max Spell but those lifes often took longer to level up due to having to melee more then I liked.

Sorc past life: I am only taking it for prereqs for like Wrath form and if I go Am to use instead of Mental toughness. If it turns out I can’t use it as a Mental Toughness sub (think it can) I will be taking Mental toughness instead.

The last big comment I see again from Malinza2 (lots of good comments btw) is on why not 2 monk over 2 rog. This is a matter of preference. For starters I have never liked how a 2 monk splash looks on casters. You either make life hard on yourself or run a round uncentered all the time. In my eyes two feats are not as good as Rog skills and a d6 the sneak attack for stunned or held mobs, lest not forget alignment restrictions that monks have to follow meaning you can’t switch to N to take less damage at places and take neg levels to use some items. Also for me it comes down to gear. I have lots of gear that plays well for a caster that plays well with rog levels that doesn’t play nice with monk levels. I mean if I am doing a melee build, monk is easy to fit in I have lots of cool wraps and a fair amount of robes, but as a caster I am just better of using a host of other gear.

Would I say run out and build this for yourself? Not really. This is more of a build for me. But I want to share my thoughts and process in the event that it helps others.

Tomorrow that talk on AM vs PM.

Looks like Fat Halflings are Okay by You

Step two: build layout. Again looking at using a 18/2 wiz/rog PM mostly because I love me some removal spells here are some basic plans. Starting with Stats.

Keep in mind these are 36 point builds on a Fat Halfling Race (aka Dwarf)

Plan A
14 Strength
10 Dexterity
16 Constitution
18 Intelligence
08 Wisdom
12Charisma

Plan B
14 Strength
08 Dexterity
16 Constitution
18 Intelligence
08 Wisdom
13Charisma

Plan A vs Plan B: A has one less Chr but 2 more Dex meaning that there is no starting dex penalty to skills or AC (wanking motion to show how impressed I am with the new AC system) but Plan B will have +1 to Chr skills at odd tome levels ie +1 and +3 so more UMD and Intim aka both good things. Guess my Open lock and ninja skills will eat a -1.

Leveling layout, again this is with the plan of leveling to 20 as a PM.

Level 1 (Rogue)
Feat: (Selected) Insightful Reflexes

Level 2 (Wizard)
Feat: (Wizard Bonus) Empower Spell

Level 3 (Wizard)
Feat: (Selected) Past Life: Berserker’s Fury

Level 4 (Wizard)
Level 5 (Wizard)
Level 6 (Wizard)
Feat: (Selected) Past Life: Arcane Prodigy
Feat: (Wizard Bonus) Spell Focus: Necromancy

Level 7 (Wizard)
Level 8 (Wizard)
Level 9 (Rogue)
Feat: (Selected) Completionist

Level 10 (Wizard)
Level 11 (Wizard)
Level 12 (Wizard)
Feat: (Selected) Greater Spell Focus: Necromancy
Feat: (Wizard Bonus) Maximize Spell

Level 13 (Wizard)
Level 14 (Wizard)
Level 15 (Wizard)
Feat: (Selected) Past Life: Arcane Initiate

Level 16 (Wizard)
Level 17 (Wizard)
Feat: (Wizard Bonus) Heighten Spell

Level 18 (Wizard)
Feat: (Selected) Quicken Spell
Level 19 (Wizard)
Level 20 (Wizard)

Feat order might look a little out of order but what this layout does is allows us to take PM2 right at 14 and at the same time allows us to skip using Vamp form as the last thing you want to do at level 14 is start using a form that explodes when shot by a laser beam.

Also with just a little tweaking (swapping the Focus Feats) or none at all I could go AM and not PM until 20 when Lich form (aka the good one) kicks in. Tomorrow if I have time I will talk a little about maybe trying out AM for leveling up and why I am leaning that way at least until 20.

Finally the Main stat number, Int. Now this is not all fleshed out. Like I could take the epic +1 stat feats post 20 but for the most part this is everything I have or plan to get easily.

INT:
18base
+6level ups
+3enhcancements
+3tome
+2ship
+2yugo
+1litany once i get one (I like the raid)
+3insight robes
+8int goggles or ring
+2lich (going to assume PM at 20 for now)
+2completionest
+6 wizard destiny
+2 int twisted in from 2 other destinies
+1 int twisted Echoes of the Ancestors: Arcane (Magister)
+1 exp slotted some place easy
——
50 int normally running around with just yugo pot

+ 1-3 house D pots as needed (yeah right)
+1 when I find a +4 tome
+2 Store pots
+2 capstone if I go to pure at 20

I could go drow and have +2 more Int or Human and get +1 more. But really until Turbine makes an Int based Gnome I just like the Fat Halfling look. I mean have you seen their beards?

Well those are my thoughts atm, feel free to comment below.

<3s

Would you Still Love Me if I am Not a Halfling?

Sam is solidly into rank 83, meaning with some luck and Tobril keeping a simi helpful play schedule I think that we could cap out by this weekend. I know that Tobril wants to tree right away again into our “final” builds. He has been chomping at the bit to get back in to the end game. Me? Yes and no. I want to be there and do stuff. But I don’t have a clear plan for my “final” build. But as I type thoughts out may be a clear plan will come together.

I talked a little about Class some last week or the week before and while I haven’t made up my mind 100%. Odds are good that I will be doing some kind of wizard. For now I will assume a 18/2 wiz/rog PM, but is really just an assumption.

Todays thought: all builds start with a race. You can go the other way but the one thing you can’t change right now with out a TR is race.

Options:

Halfling, The normal “Samius” race more nimble but takes on strength and carrying penalties. Also they don’t have cool beards. ;-( But they have glasses! Before the Half elf they were clearly one of the master races. The only ones before that could get some real self-healing via race alone. After a ton of TRs I think I can handle my own heals with out their marks.

Dwarf: Frankly, I am leaning this way. I like the fat Halfling race. More HPs then their thin brothers and in theory a better weapon line…. But mostly they have beards!!!!! And now with show goggles I can have both beards and goggles. Also depending on the enchantment changes and how racial PREs are added one could work in dwarven defender in a PM build some day for even more hps… Sounds sexy.

So anyone have an issue with me as a fat Halfling for the long term? Is so you might need to get over it. ☺

Burn you Bloody War Forge!

Okay, so I didn’t want to use bloody in the title but last time I cursed in the title I think a Dev (Jerry) changed it. So I thought why make him work???

Saturday the wife had a birthday party out of town to go to so I got the house to myself to play, have chicken wings delivered and generally not do a damn thing that is actually useful to the household. Well I did put the dogs out when I needed a drink. ☺ aka Project Dps is in full swing.

Darth Samius is now a Helf, 6 fighter, 1, arty, 1 barb and it is working out really well. I grabbed a falchion with a med guild slot and made it Keen for the first few levels. Then around level 3-4 I took a moment to slap maiming on it and life is good so far. Using the Clr dilettante feat my healing is really sweet for the level and soon I should be able to drop 3 ap in to powering up the dilettante feat and be able to use heal scrolls with a fair chance.

The barb interaction is working as expected. Having two rages (barb level + barb past life) means 3+ mins of MORE damage. And that is often the just right amount of time to be raged up for me. 90ish seconds at a time lets me clear a few rooms but doesn’t go so long that I need to pot for healing. And right now wand healing is great! Making plat on a heavy melee alt that wasn’t monk based, color me surprised.

So everything is going smooth right? Well um Tobril may have finally gotten his work RL issues cleared up. To the point where in the hour and change he got to play last night he capped and prepped for xp farming starting tonight. So I need to get Samius ready to go. Thing is I still don’t have a pally build. Sure I have an out line for what I am calling the Catholic Priest. But saying 9/9/2 monk/pally/fighter a build doesn’t make…. Oh well I will figure it out on the run I guess.

If I didn’t have a ton of leveling monk gear btc on Sam I would try more of a tanky build but after seeing the places where Tobril had issues on his sorc frame I think the monk will just do better as I know where it struggles and that is where his sorc frame will pick up the slack.

In any case go by plat sink WF melee and hello to plat earning Helf melee.

Oh ps, using that keen maiming falchion first number crit max so far is 130ish all raged up (spell+feat) + great cleave on one of the priests in Bloody Crypt.
